At GEO Marine Trade, we attach great importance to the privacy, security and protection of your personal data.

This notice has been prepared to inform you, under the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (“KVKK”) and related legislation, about the personal data processing carried out by Geo Denizcilik ve Ticaret Ltd. Şti. (Türkiye) and Geo Marine Trade Limited (Marshall Islands), which operate under the GEO Marine Trade brand, in connection with requests submitted through our website.

1. Personal Data Processed

The following personal data may be processed through the Inquiry (contact and request) form on our website:

  • Name and surname
  • Phone number
  • Email address
  • Information you share in your request or message

2. Purposes of Processing

The personal data collected may be processed for the following purposes:

  • Evaluating information, product, service and cooperation requests sent to us,
  • Responding to your requests and contacting you,
  • Preparing commercial offers and carrying out the related processes,
  • Managing communication with customers and business partners,
  • Following up requests and correspondence.

Depending on the processing activity, your personal data may be processed on the legal grounds set out in Article 5 of the KVKK: processing is necessary for the conclusion or performance of a contract, and for the legitimate interests of the data controller.

3. Method of Collection

Your personal data is submitted by you through the electronic Inquiry form at www.geomarinetrade.com and processed through our corporate email system.

4. Sharing of Personal Data

Depending on the nature of your request, your personal data may be shared among the GEO Marine Trade companies in order to evaluate and respond to the request and to carry out commercial processes.

It may also be shared, to the extent necessary, with authorised service providers for technical infrastructure and communication services, and with competent public authorities in line with legal obligations.

Where personal data is transferred abroad, the conditions set out in Article 9 of the KVKK and other applicable data protection rules are complied with.

5. Retention and Security

Your personal data is kept only for as long as the purposes of processing require, taking into account obligations arising from the relevant legislation.

Appropriate technical and administrative security measures are applied to protect personal data.

When the reasons requiring the processing no longer exist, your personal data is deleted, destroyed or anonymised in accordance with the relevant legislation.

6. Rights of Data Subjects

Under Article 11 of the KVKK, you have the right to:

  • Learn whether your personal data is processed,
  • Request information if it has been processed,
  • Learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used accordingly,
  • Learn the third parties to whom your personal data is transferred,
  • Request correction of personal data processed incorrectly or incompletely,
  • Request deletion or destruction of your personal data under the conditions set out in the Law,
  • Exercise your other rights set out in the Law.

You can submit applications in this regard through the application channels announced by the relevant data controller.
